Karacamirli/Azerbaidjan
The objective of this project is the environmental analysis of the Achaemenid residence in Karacamirli explored by I. Babaev (Academy of Science of Azerbajdschan) and F. Knauß (Antiques Collection of the Bavarian State and Glyptothek). To this purpose, concentrated archaeological field surveys in cooperation with Jörg Faßbinder (Bavarian State Department for the Preservation of Ancient Monuments and Faculty for Geosciences of the LMU) have been conducted since 2013.
