Graduate School Distant Worlds
Distant Worlds, the Munich Graduate School of Ancient Cultures, aims to identify the basic principles carrying and structuring ancient cultures. In order to analyse such questions about construction and organisation, Distant Worlds unites the broad variety of all LMU-programmes in Ancient Cultural Studies - from Near Eastern Archaeology to Ancient History and the Classical Philologies up to Indology and Sinology; in addition, Ancient Culture Institutions in Munich such as the Bavarian State Collections.
The graduate school existed from 2012 until 2021. Sveral (Post) Doctoral Fellows in Near Eastern Archaeology received a scholarship:
